Steve. Finale?

Steeve….

You can see the paint is still wet, and the color will change a tad as it dries.

I may come back with some stain to highlight some of the wrinkles in his ‘skin’. We’ll see.

But for now, time to start thinking about Steve 2….

Minor facelift

Got a little bit of a facelift to the header there….

That’s only taken a couple weeks to actually accomplish, including a good several hours tonight actually uploading it and getting it to work. (man code is annoying sometimes) But, it also is ushering in new capabilities, so look for more little upgrades soon. Hope you like.

Product Review: Wildfire Paints

This little project has been a thorn in my side for a while now.

I had this idea to begin transitioning an area of the yard into primarily blacklit space. And, a part of that has been wanting to make my Tzompantli conducive to such a situation.

That meant glowing skulls.

Now, I’m not going to go into a full range of the things that have gone wrong with my attempts to make this happen to my satisfaction with flourescing items I had laying around.

I finally gave in, looked around, and stumbled on Wildfire Paints. Yes, there was a lot of claims on the website there, but I’m a skeptical person when it comes to claims.

Well, my order arrived, and I finally put it to the test today.

The stuff is INSANELY BRIGHT. I took a TINY bit of paint, and started adding water, as I didn’t want it to completely COVER the skulls and leave no detail. A LOT of water later, and we had this huge pool of colored water, essentially.

But, that was all it took to make the effect I was after.

So, if you’re out there looking for some UV paints, Wildfire Paint is as far as you need look!

(I’ld just like to state that I have not been paid for this review by anyone, including Wildfire Paint.  If they would like to pay me with some free paints, however, I’ld be happy to adjust this silly thing to state such.)
