The BYOB project: Build Your Own Bob. Bob was my answer to the problem of storebought skeletons either looking silly, or being insanely expensive. So, I made one of paper mache, fully articulated, and anatomically reasonable. (it’s not exactly correct, but awful close)

  1. Uno, where is that tutorial you used to have about fleshing out your skeliton. I was trying to find it to link to a friend, but when you re-did the site, it appears to have gone. Was that you that did it, or was it an external link?

  2. That was a tutorial done by the folks over at Skullandbone.com. As such, the site is linked to in the resources section.

However, the specific tutorial you are looking for is located here:

I am thinking of making one for the means I am using to corpse Steve, however, and you remind me there are many more I need to get up here as well.

  3. I saw a string skull on Halloween Forum that was credited to you. I thought this looked amazing and I have a part skull I made that didn’t quite work out but would be just right to use for this project. Is there a tutorial for this?

  4. Ah, you’re talking about ‘Jim‘.

No, no formal tutorial. Just a LOT of string hot glued onto a skull.

  5. Is there a tutorial for how you did the pelvis mask. I am trying to make one but can not figure out how to turn it into a wearable mask. Is there anyway I would be able to get a few pointer on making it?
    You do such great work.

  6. I’m afraid the place I was storing my stuff way back in those days has been shut down. It was part of the reason I started up here.

Back in those days, I sculpted on the bone with Power Grab adhesive, and used screens to cover gaps. Best I have of that process is here:

    https://get.google.com/albumarchive/110814824659217641240/album/AF1QipOpCwlfZ-HKKh3hZM-TFfhQZcZUWePd4KJzqvnK/AF1QipMX8_o3cI2am7cuMNB9D1YXA-vkGVz27-FXIIWv

You can use water to shape the power grab and form it to what you need. A wig served in place of the screen for the pelvis mask.
