“Real Art”
For the second time in my life, I find myself making a Transi tomb lid. As people are always curious what I’m working on, and I share pictures, I’m once again struck at the visceral change in reactions to this work compared to many of my others.
“Whoa, this is REAL ART”
“I had no idea you could really sculpt”.
If I actually point out an old piece, I get something akin to “That is just Halloween stuff, THIS is ART.”
Never doubt that it is art, son. Did it take creativity? Artistic skill? Imagination?
I stumbled upon your site via halloweenforum.com when I saw the crypt/tomb fogger you made. Your work is seriously awe inspiring and gives a fledgling creator such as myself goals to aspire to! Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
I would love to know if you have posted anywhere how you did the internals on that build and/or have any advice on making something similar- is there anything you would change on it? Did it work well? (The pics on here suggest that it performed remarkably spookily!
Thanks again and keep making and sharing your amazing creations!
Hey Larry,
Glad you found us. I’m meaning to get a lot more active here in the future as other avenues are becoming problematic.
The original tomb with chiller was best documented over here, but it is a little bit rambling. https://www.halloweenforum.com/threads/the-recondite-unorthodoxs-2012-theme-open-discussion.112312/
The guts of the thing are extremely similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXbdhlASy8s
Though I used a cheap $5 fan instead of that inline one they have.
