Beginning setup in earnest.

Busy, busy weekend.

Another load of Reed grass reaped on Saturday, along with transporting ole Jack to his new home. The new grass left us with very little in the way of storage room, however, and it was time to just drop all pretenses and begin the setup proper.

With a storm bearing down on us tonight/tomorrow, goal was just to begin getting things UP. We can make them pretty later.

With some out of town obligations this afternoon, I came home to find a present from some mysterious benefactor.

We needed to get that up and put to use .

Breaking down the previous grass in ‘storage’, we began the final setup this evening.

We still have a heck of a stack of corn left to distribute and probably about that much more grass left as well.

Well, there is the back yard still…

  1. Your yard is starting to look really good. I like what you have up so far. It reminds me (slightly) of Children of the Corn.

On the other hand, I really don’t know that I am going to get my yard decorated this year. I pulled my headstones out, found out that I need a several things. I just don’t know that I have the drive to run to the hardware store to get them.

  2. Well, send me over the list of what you need. If I don’t have it on hand already, I pass 2 hardware stores on my way home every night. We gots to have that graveyard up. 😉

  3. I need wood steaks, black spray paint, and screws that will go through the steaks, and the 3ply boards to hold them together. Usually Jesse helps me with the right size of hardware. I’m kind or a ditz when it come to that.
