Well, the boy scouts are out camping in Skull Valley tonight. And, I was asked by one of the leaders to do a little something “to freak them out a little bit.” And, if possible, make it look like it’s been buried for a while.
It seemed simple enough. Then the week went all to hell. First, we had a fish tank emergency when we lost an 8 year old catfish. Apparently to old age. Well, with nothing to clean up after Joe, the filter quickly became overloaded, coupled with one of them kicking the bucket.
So, I ordered a fancy newfangled filter that is bigger and better, but had to spend a day tearing the tank apart. Meanwhile, I’ve come down with the awful cold Talia’s been fighting for more than a week.
So, I didn’t get to spend as much time on the project as I wanted, but in the right setting, I think it’ll suit the purpose.
Then, tonight, Talia asked me when it would be time for “First Halloween”. This is her name for our little Harvest party, apparently. I rather like it. “First Halloween is when we have all the pumpkins, second Halloween is when we trick or treat.”
Love the idea of the skull in Skull Valley. How did that go or has it gone yet?
Get better! Missed you, Sunday.
